摘要:This is an introductory course to discrete differential geometry that explores how various discretizations are related. We begin with Cauchy’s rigidity theorem, which states that convex polytopes in space with congruent corresponding faces must be congruent to each other. It serves as a cornerstone to discrete conformality related to circle packings. As a result, discretization of Laplace operator and minimal surfaces arise naturally. Their discrete integrable structures will be discussed. This course emphasizes on the extrinsic geometry of discrete surfaces. The smooth theory will be reviewed when needed.
