Ivanov教授研究领域为实分析、泛函分析、函数逼近论.他发表学术论文70余篇；主持俄罗斯基础研究基金及中俄合作基金(俄方主持)等10项， 并为下述杂志编委：
Mathematical Notes (since 1990),
Chebyshev Sbornik (since 2001),
Analysis Mathematica (since 2016).
