摘要：Constant composition codes (CCCs) have numerous applications such as in power line communication (PLC). They have been extensively investigated. Recently, there has been renewed interests in high-speed narrowband PLC due to applications in sustainable energy strategies. Chee et. al (2013) extended the analysis of Vinck's coded modulation scheme based on permutation codes to general block codes. They proved that codes of equitable symbol weights (symbol equity) optimize the performance against narrowband noise in a general coded modulation scheme for PLC, which motivates the study of equitable symbol weight codes (ESWCs). This talk concerns feature and optimality of CCCs of symbol-equity property in the sense their size, and methods for their constructions. A number of series of symbol-equity codes of optimal size are presented.
