Title: Domination results in n-Fuchsian fibers

Abstract

Let S be a closed oriented surface with genus at least 2. The Teichmüller space of S is the space of the complex structure on S modulo the diffeomorphisms isotopic to identity. Teichmüller space can also be regarded as the space of Fuchsian representations. Then from the non-Abelian Hodge theory, given a complex structure on S, one can embed the Teichmüller space into the moduli space of the Higgs bundles. The elements of the locus are called n-Fuchsian representations. There is a natural fibration structure on the moduli space of the Higgs bundles, called Hitchin fibration. In this talk, we will show some domination results in the Hitchin fibers containing n-Fuchsian representations. As a byproduct, we generalize a result of Schoen on the uniqueness of equivariant minimal surfaces. This is a joint work with Qiongling Li.
