题目: The $p$-adic World      

报告人: Pierre Colmez (CNRS, Sorbonne Université)      

摘要: $p$-adic numbers were defined by Hensel at the end of 1900's and have since played a major role in Number Theory and other branches of Mathematics. I will survey their construction, and basic aspects of $p$-adic analysis, and use them to give a small introduction to the $p$-adic Langlands program, a "program" which is still in infancy.  

报告人简介：Prof. Pierre Colmez is a world leading expert in number theory. He is a member of the Academia Europaea, an invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematics in 1998. He has won the Fermat Prize in 2005 for his contribution to the study of $L$-functions and $p$-adic Galois representations.
