Abstract:  In this talk, I will discuss some recent developments on the energy conservation for the weak solutions in the compressible isentropic Navier-Stokes equations. By using the tools of commutator estimates, we can extend the famous sufficient conditions such as Lions’ for the energy equality from incompressible Navier-Stokes equations to the compressible Navier-Stokes equations. This is a joint work with Yanqing Wang and Wei Wei.
