In this talk, I will explain a joint work in progress with Bin Zhao, on a refined version of spectral halo conjecture. This conjecture concerns p-adic valuations of U_p-operator acting on modular forms with a p-power level and a nebentypus character with p-power conductor. Our work gives an explicit formula for all possible slopes appearing for such modular forms. This refines earlier joint work with Ruochuan Liu and Daqing Wan.
