题目：Recent progress on fourth order Willmore energy

摘要：We introduce a fourth-order Willmore-type problem for closed four-dimensional submanifolds immersed in $R^n$ and establish a connected sum energy reduction for the general fourth-order Willmore energy, analogous to the seminal result of Bauer and Kuwert. We will also discuss recent progress on the study of energy quantization on fourth order Willmore energy.

报告人简介：严泽田，2019年于吉林大学获得学士学位，2023年于宾夕法尼亚州立大学获得博士学位，目前为加州大学圣塔芭芭拉数学系博士后。主要研究方向为共形几何，CR几何中的共形算子及其不变量；高阶Willmore能量领域的相关问题
